Here for you now
It is a true honor for me to work in the field of psychology.
The different approaches I typically use are:
Strengths Based approach (finding out what IS working and building from there, we've all got skills so lets figure out how to best use them)
Solutions Focused (shorter term therapy focused on presenting problem)
Mindfulness Based (being present in the moment in how you respond rather then being reactive).
My specialities are: pre/postpartum issues, couples, addictions, and adolescents.
Pre & Postpartum Parent(s): Having children is such a tremendous change; to one’s body, identity, schedule, relationships - you name it, it effects it. I specialize in helping parent(s) adjust to the stress, anxiety, and depression that can occur during this transition.
Couples: Being in a relationship can be a great gift but it can also be a lot of work. When trying to merge two people’s lives, minds, and hearts together, it can get a bit bumpy (to say the least). I specialize in helping couples learn to communicate better, and develop coping skills for finding compromise when possible and tolerating the unchangeable things in order to create the relationship they aspire to achieve.
Addiction: It knows no bounds and it effects people of all walks of life. The addictive brain can be tricky to navigate whether your in the throws of the addiction, maintaining your sobriety, or caring for a family member struggling. I have worked for years assisting people to unlock the person and shed the insanity.
